After cleansing and preparation, a controlled microneedling device creates precise microchannels at a depth selected for the treatment area and concern. This stimulates a healing response associated with collagen remodeling. A soothing post-treatment product is applied and detailed recovery instructions are provided.
Typical recovery is about 2–5 days of redness, warmth, tightness or mild swelling, sometimes followed by dryness or light flaking. Deeper or radiofrequency-assisted treatments may involve longer recovery. Downtime varies with depth, device and individual sensitivity.
Scar remodeling is gradual. A common starting course is approximately 3–6 sessions spaced about 4–6 weeks apart, followed by reassessment. Deeper or tethered scars may need other procedures or referral, and no treatment can completely erase scarring.

- Active acne, infection, sunburn and open skin must be resolved first
- Avoid tanning and use sunscreen consistently
- Disclose isotretinoin, blood thinners, cold sores, abnormal scarring and recent procedures
- Follow instructions about pausing retinoids, acids or other irritating products
AFTER TREATMENT
Aftercare.
- Keep the skin clean and use only recommended gentle products initially
- Avoid makeup, strenuous exercise, pools, saunas and excess heat for the advised period
- Use broad-spectrum sunscreen and avoid direct sun
- Do not pick peeling skin; report blistering, increasing pain or signs of infection
SUITABILITY & SAFETY

- Not performed over active acne, infection, eczema flare, open wounds or sunburn
- Pregnancy, certain medications, impaired healing or a history of keloids may affect suitability
- RF microneedling has distinct risks and requires device-specific screening
- Some scar types need combination treatment or medical referral
